“You’ll know, okay? You just have to let it happen. And then, probably when you’re not looking, you’ll find someone who complements you.

Someone who likes what you like, someone who reads the same books or listens to the same music or likes to trash the same movies. Someone compatible. But not so compatible that they’re boring.

I mean, you respect each other’s opinions and you can laugh at the same jokes, but I don’t know – there’s just something about not quite knowing what the other person’s gonna do at all times that’s just really exciting”

“Jess was a terrible boyfriend”

And before anyone jumps on this post, I’m not trying to say that their relationship was perfect or that Jess handled everything great. He and Rory still had communication problems and he could’ve handled a lot of things better at the end but I’m tired of everyone saying that he never even tried or that he was even worse than Dean was (or that he sought Rory out as some kind of prize and then being bored with her). I also hate people acting like Jess should’ve constantly been around Rory and be as obsessive and constraining as Dean when Jess was perfectly capable of understanding that Rory was her own person and that they both had different responsibilities and interests, and he was capable of knowing that and organizing around Rory’s schedule so that she could still do the things she would like to do, instead of being angry with her or trying to convince her to do something else.
