Tumblr was deemed too full of inappropriate content to be allowed to be downloaded from the app store.

It has this “inappropriate” problem because of rampant porn ad bot accounts. The old solutions were bots to detect image sets with nsfw content, the automatically enabled safe mode, tag filtering for mobile, and wide takedowns of nsfw bots based on words used (that’s why their messages are full of numbers and symbols, to evade this)

Tumblr released their own bot supposedly capable of wiping the ad bots, but it’s taking down many popular blogs, possibly due to sheer amounts of posting or sheer amounts of ad bots in their notes. This bot was likely rushed to be put out.

You are more likely to be accidentally flagged if you post external links, as well. If your acct is taken down you CAN get it back, but it’s a pain. E-mail tumblr support for help with this. It takes down side blogs with the main ones.

I’ll be halting art posts for about a week or until this problem is fixed.

EDIT : Tumblr released a statement a few hours after I put this out explaining that the nature of their audit was for manually submitted child pornography that was likely original in nature, as their filter checking against known existing CP was failing to catch what was being uploaded. My bad. I assumed the main issue was the porn bots since they’ve become exceedingly resilient lately and are cropping up faster than ever. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is another issue that they’re tackling during this time, but the blame is less so on them.

I’ve also been told that the actual account “purges” were an errant glitch that happened to be running around the same time, but it is coinciding around the same time as the links issue and the rapid disappearance of bots during the audit, so I’m really not sure on that piece. Take care folks

Social anxiety is not necessarily having huge panic attacks when you’re in a crowd.

It is, a lot of the time, little things that are usually easy just being complete hell on earth, like:

  • Crying just thinking about having to give a presentation in class
  • Not playing games or participating in fun activities (even with your friends) because you’re afraid you’ll be terrible at it and people will judge you
  • Having to rehearse your order at the restaurant a hundred times
  • And counting your money 10 times to make sure you have enough (even though you have plenty)
  • Being overly concerned about the way you look because you think people are judging you
  • Feeling anxious every time someone laughs because they’re definitely laughing at you oh god
  • Getting nervous about coming late to school because you’ll have to get in class and everyone will look at you
  • Crying a little when someone says you’re wrong or screams at you (especially in front of other people)
  • Not knowing what to talk about even with friends that have a lot of things in common with you
  • Feeling uncomfortable being in the front row in class or at the cinema because you think everyone is staring at you
  • Thinking and rehearsing for 5 minutes the simple things you’ll have to say in class (like “here” or “yes, I did my homework”)
  • Being afraid that the teacher will ask you something in class
  • Being embarrassed of something you did or said literally months ago (that probably wasn’t so bad)
  • Pushing people away when they show any type of interest because they’re definitely making fun of you and actually hate you
  • Going out of your way to avoid someone in public because you actually cannot talk to them
  • Biting you tongue or lips or clenching your fists or digging your nails into you leg when you’re embarrassed
  • Being scared of being alone with only 1 person because you don’t know what to do or say
  • Constantly hating yourself because you can’t do easy things like having a small conversation

I actually really like her! Apple’s love of shading really makes her look 3D. The skin tone is very yellow, but there are other skin tone variations and the yellow makes the other colors pop. Her anatomy isn’t horribly botched, and I like that I can see individual scales. I love her hair. 10/10 a beautiful mermaid

One of her arms is way too long. There’s no way that seashell bra could ever stay up. Her tale has a border, but she doesn’t. Google’s simplistic style isn’t working. 5/10 I know you can do better

What happened to her? Very very angular. Not the smooth, sleek mermaid I wanted. Black border looks Bad. Boring color scheme. 2/10 very bland

Looks kind of like they traced apple’s emoji and made it more boring. Still, a good pose. That seashell bra still defies physics and looks hella uncomfortable. 7/10 mermaids need back support too

She’s very cute! Traditional color scheme, but not horrible! Could use more personality. Give her a better bra. 7/10

This is truly disgusting. Too simplistic. Tail looks limp and algae-covered. Is she okay? 3/10 bra design is ok and it’s still better tham Microsoft.

Now this is a MERMAID. I love the hair. She’s very dynamic. The end of the tail actually looks to be the right size, which I appreciate. There’s no horrible seashell bra! The only thing that’s a little bit weird is her eyes, which make her look very manevolent, but I am HERE for it. 11/10

This is an even worse bra offender. This mermaid looks like she’s trying to seduce an entire cruise ship. I appreciate the fact that she’s doing the traditional job, but did you have to make her sit like that? It bothers me. Mermaids don’t have asses. 5/10 decent design I guess

There’s a such thing as too much gradient. I feel like I’m in 2010. I like the pointy ears and the fact that she’s on a rock. 5/10.
