so tomorrow is thanksgiving, and i know it’s a stressful time for lots of people gathering together with nosy, noisy, maybe far ruder than necessary family members.

so, i just wanted to let you know that:

• you are your own person
• you have free will to continue to make your own decisions regardless of what your family thinks
• any decision you made in the past is valid and can’t be changed – so it’s no use for them to bother you over it
• you don’t have to discuss anything that makes you uncomfortable
• your identity is valid even if you have to dress a little unlike you usually do
• your sexuality is valid even if you have to hide and be asked questions about relationships you would never be in
• your body is perfect, eat when you are hungry, relax when you are full, you look beautiful and these few days of food will not hurt – you are safe and holidays are a time to treat and enjoy yourself
• drive safe !! lots of people are traveling and roads will probably be busy!
