So you know that bit where Adam asks Gansey how he knows he’s in love with Blue 2.5 seconds after kissing Ronan, right? I always thought he was so extra for that. I mean, one of your best friends in the whole world kisses you, and you realize you’re bisexual for the first time (as far as we know), and you’d think you’d have a lot more things to deal with first, but no, the very first question you ask yourself (and your other best friend in the entire world) is “but am I in love with him though?” and apparently that’s not even a question, because you kiss him back on the very same night, which means you decided that yes, yes you do. Adam, you extra, romantic little shit. Except THAT’S NOT ALL, IS IT? Because apparently there’s a line in The Raven Boys that I had completely forgotten about, that says something along the lines of “Ronan doesn’t understand casual relationships” and apparently that line is in, you guessed it, Adam’s narration. So I’ve spent all this time thinking Adam wondering whether he was in love with Ronan or not after one (1) kiss was so extra, but the truth is Adam knows and has acknowledged before that Ronan basically mates for life (the nerds they are, the both of them), so the question wasn’t even “am I in love with him”, it was more along the lines of “am I willing to spend my entire life with him” AND APPARENTLY IT ONLY TAKES HIM A COUPLE OF HOURS TO DECIDE THAT YES, YES HE DOES?? I HATE THEM AND THEIR FAIRYTALE ROMANCE
